| This was their first time on a swing........what a sight to see! |

| How many kids can fit in a tube slide.......we counted 15 with room to go :) |

The kids kept calling this a "horse" :)
The installation of the playground was amazing thanks to the hard work of the Harvest Bible Chapel team members along with local Haitian workers. This is the first community playground in the area. This playground is not surrounded by a wall or gate - like many places are in Haiti - but instead, open to the community to use. God has already been working through this process as Haitians and Americans worked side by side to install. Both groups were able to learn from each other. With the addition of benches and a permanent hopscotch area - this playground will be a community gathering place for all those in the area (we have already seen that starting to happen). Located next to the Spirit of Truth School - recess will never be the same as the children will have access to play in the park daily. The playground is also located next to the Spirit of Truth Church which will give the church and its members an opportunity to share the Gospel with all who visit the park. Pastor Jean-Alix is already thinking ahead as to how this park can be used as a ministry tool to expand God's Kingdom.
The playground was dedicated in honor of Ruth Paul Caudle - a child of the living God, an advocate for children throughout Haiti, and a supporter of the Spirit of Truth School and Orphanage. Ruth helped to expand the Spirit of Truth School into the school it is today (from 4 classrooms to over 600 students). She continued to remind others that we need to be the voice of the children of Haiti. Now, in her honor, this playground will be a place where not only the voices of children are heard- but where their laughter will be as well.
For all those who partnered in this project - Thank You! We wish each of you could one day go to Haiti to see for yourselves the lives that you have impacted. We have a feeling it is far more greater than even we realize right now :)
Blessings,
Renew Hope Team
