Ruth P. Caudle Children's Park
In the U.S - our children have parks in every neighborhood. This is a staple in our kids lives. On the playground is where we learn about friendship, good sportsmanship, having fun, and physical exercise. This is where you learn how to play by the rules, what piece of equipment is "base", and who is the fastest runner. In Haiti, parks and playgrounds are far and few between. Now imagine a community with over 500 children who have never played on a playground before? Life in Haiti is difficult and we want to help the children in Guibert to have those moments in the day where they can just be kids. Ruth Paul Caudle was an advocate for children in Haiti and we want to build this playground in her honor. One of her favorite things was to see the children smile and hear their laughter. The Ruth P Caudle Children's Park will be a place where that can happen every day. We can hear the children's laughter already :) if you would like to be a part of this project - click the donate link on the right. Also, check back for a future mission trip date as we gather to install and dedicate the park.
